This position will play a critical role in the global renewables team. Responsibilities include primary research through data gathering and client outreach, modeling and forecasting market trends, and synthesizing data to provide market intelligence for industry players.Main ResponsibilitiesDevelop original market analysis, research, and consulting culminating in client deliverables and industry thought leadership pieces.Collect data on solar and energy storage technology trends, policy and regulatory drivers, project deployments, pricing, and competitive landscape dynamics.Present to clients and industry stakeholders at trade shows, Wood Mackenzie conferences, and other events.Build and cultivate a network of industry contacts for firsthand intelligence on market events and trends.Collaborate with peers across Wood Mackenzie to support research reports, sales marketing services, and editorial coverage.Work with the APAC power team and other teams to leverage internal expertise and maintain data and model integrity.About YouMinimum of 2 years of experience in renewable energy or power systems, preferably in solar or storage.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills with attention to detail.Strong organizational skills and a collaborative mindset.Engaging nature, capable of connecting with co-workers, clients, and industry stakeholders.Intellectual curiosity about the broader business landscape.Superior listening, critical thinking, and writing skills.Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required.ExpectationsA great candidate will be intellectually curious, detail-oriented, collaborative, and a team player.The successful applicant will be expected to be physically present in the office at least 2 days per week to foster a collaborative environment, subject to change in the future.Equal OpportunitiesWe are an equal opportunities employer, committed to recruiting the best people regardless of race, colour, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.If you are applying for a role and have a physical or mental disability, we will support you throughout the application or hiring process.Why work here?
