Senior Reporter (6 Months Maternity Cover) Project Finance International is a news-driven service that covers the infrastructure finance sector, reporting on the energy, renewables, and social infrastructure markets.
We are seeking a business writer who can produce major news stories in Australia and India, and sometimes globally, coordinating with reporters within or outside the region, while maintaining a set of contacts and sources.
Role Summary The role requires a keen news sense combined with a knowledge of the debt finance markets.
Our stories cover debt and equity finance, plus updates on the progress of individual projects and general market-related stories.
We produce daily news content and a bi-weekly digital/print magazine.
What You'll Be Doing: Write stories on the project finance markets for the PFIe daily news service and the bi-weekly PFI magazine, including exclusive and well-informed stories.
Write feature-length stories for PFI and procure outside features for PFI.
Work with the data collection team on project finance data.
Oversee the full life cycle of projects, ensuring accuracy and speed in story writing in accordance with company principles and operating standards.
Become an expert in asset classes with a good knowledge and understanding of the project finance market.
What You'll Bring: We require a reporter experienced in covering business and corporate finance news, with an ability to produce exclusive and in-depth reports, as well as excellent writing and analytical skills.
The role will require handling multiple priorities and deadlines.
Proven experience in reporting on the construction sector and/or the debt capital markets is preferable.
A strong news sense, along with proven organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills will be an asset.
