Geospatial Intelligence Pty Ltd (GI) is an Australian owned privately held company based in Canberra, with a sister company in the UK, that has been successfully delivering high quality geospatial solutions to the public sector and commercial clients since 2002.
GI employs a team of highly skilled professionals to address the entire life-cycle of Geographic Information Systems, from the supply of data, provision of analytical and value-adding services, to assistance with assessments and decision-making. GI is an ESRI business partner and offers an extensive range of products and services including satellite resource management, raw data collection/supply, rapid satellite imagery acquisition, spatial analysis, and the production of high-level spatial visualisations and decision support tools.
The Position
Geospatial Intelligence Pty Ltd is looking for a highly innovative Senior Remote Sensing Professional to join our team. We are looking for someone who will be able to quickly understand and absorb new concepts, acquire skills on the job, and enjoy a challenge. Depending on the candidate, the position can be a 12/24 month contract or a full-time position.
This position will be based in Canberra, Australia.
Duties and Responsibilities:Processing and analysis of geospatial data, including very high-resolution imagery and GIS dataUse of remote sensing software for analysis and output generation of geospatial productsSupervise and mentor a teamParticipation in key Industry forumsSupport Geospatial Intelligence in various marketsPro-active Business Development of our products and servicesDevelop and close Business OpportunitiesOther duties appropriate to the position as requiredDesired Skills:Working knowledge of disciplines including satellite imagery, GIS and open source dataUnderstanding of geospatial systems and technologiesProven track record for successful project managementExcellent attention to detail, self-motivation, initiative and capacity to learnGood communication skills, a mature attitude and good interpersonal and client service skillsA strong work ethic with a proactive approach to opportunitiesAn ability to be a self-starter and problem solverQualifications and Experience:Must have completed a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent relevant experienceMinimum 3 years' experience working in a similar roleHow to applyWe do not expect applicants to have all the skills listed above.
