The Senior Reliability Engineer is accountable for driving the continual enhancement of asset performance.
Reporting to the Lead Engineer, this position is responsible for engineering and reliability matters concerning the Fixed Ore Processing Assets at Christmas Creek.
Key Responsibilities Cultivate and champion a safety-first culture, actively engaging with personnel to foster a Zero Harm environment.
Manage and maintain a material risk register, focusing on risks that could halt production and ensuring proactive mitigation strategies.
Support and provide technical guidance to a team of Reliability Engineers to optimise equipment reliability and performance.
Coordinate and lead weekly and monthly Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) meetings to ensure performance alignment and continuous improvement.
Spearhead Root Cause Analysis initiatives and drive Defect Elimination strategies across site teams to minimize downtime and prevent failures.
Lead and execute projects to enhance equipment reliability, including Maintenance Strategy reviews and implementation of Plant Maintenance Optimization (PMO) frameworks.
Assist in preparing comprehensive reports for the Engineering and Reliability department, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with business objectives.
Managing the business Material risks through the CGR system.
Qualifications and Experience Tertiary Engineering Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, along with demonstrated experience in a site-based Maintenance/Reliability Engineering role.
Experience in fixed plant or heavy industry environment, site based experience in an Engineering role preferred.
Processing plant experience.
Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and a track record of effectively collaborating and influencing stakeholders across all organisational levels.
Familiarity with FMECA, RCA, RCM, LCC, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.
Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis and interrogation, with knowledge of tools like Tableau being desirable.
Experience with EAM, CMMS software, including SAP, is preferred.
