Senior Rehabilitation Physiotherapist (12-month AHM Maternity Cover) Delmar Private Hospital has been servicing the local community for 50 years and is part of the Macquarie Health Group who operates 12 private hospitals across NSW and VIC.
Located in Dee Why, we offer inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation for acute medical and surgical patients.
This includes orthopaedic rehab, reconditioning, neurological rehab as well as cardiac in the form of our heart wellness program and pulmonary in our soon to be released pulmonary rehabilitation program.
About the Role:
We are seeking to employ an experienced senior physiotherapist to cover a 12-month management role on a full-time basis for both inpatient and outpatient programs.
The successful applicant will have experience leading a team and managing a clinical caseload, along with a dynamic and outgoing personality, and a desire to work with the Hospital Senior Managers in developing our programs.
Senior Physiotherapy Duties:
Assess and treat clients across an array of clinical areas including Orthopaedic, Neurological, Cardiorespiratory & Musculoskeletal.
Conduct individual and group-based interventions (gym and hydrotherapy).
Work within a skilled and supportive multidisciplinary team.
Participate in client-specific goal setting and case conferences.
Participate in and contribute to internal professional development and in-service programs.
Conduct Pulmonary and Cardiac Rehabilitation classes and assessments.
Team leader for the outpatient rehabilitation service including supervising and educating junior staff.
Work closely with rehabilitation physicians to provide patient-centred care.
Management Duties:
Lead our Inpatient and Day-Rehab allied health programs on a full-time basis.
Manage and motivate the allied health team to manage patient caseloads.
Grow and develop relationships with referring doctors and hospitals as a key focus.
Partake in monthly reporting to the Hospital Group CEO and Corporate Managers relating to hospital services and performance.
Qualifications & Experience:
AHPRA registration and Physiotherapy qualification.
3+ years' experience working as an Allied Health professional.
Ability to lead and supervise Allied Health clinicians.
Current National Police Check and working with children clearance.
Proven ability to work unsupervised and exercise independent professional judgement.
Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated time management and organisational skills.
Demonstrated application of sound clinical reasoning skills.
Experience in working in the Private Hospital sector is highly desirable.
Previous managerial experience is desirable but not essential.
