Hours per fortnight 73.50 hours per fortnight- flexible options available. Duties Provide specialised interpretive advice to the internal and external stakeholders on the regulatory requirements of legislation administered by the Technical Regulation and Occupational Licencing unit of CBOS. Undertake high level research and analysis in relation to legislation and policy matters, ministerial briefs, providing reports, assessments and recommendations as necessary. Manage the process of updating subordinate regulatory documents, such as Determinations, guidance material and other supporting documents. Represent the Department on state and national advisory bodies and committees as required. Represent the interests of the Technical Regulation and Occupational Licensing unit in legal matters. Disseminate policy and legislative changes to industry stakeholders and consumers. Develop reports, bulletins, and advisory information and guidance publications to support compliance within the industry. Provide strategic advice and information in relation to the development and review of policy direction, building codes, and legislation including changes to regulations initiated by other government agencies or those identified by review. Provide high level, authoritative advice and interpretation in relation to legislation, and subordinate documents to enquiries from the Helpline. Undertake related project work as required by the Director of Building Control. Tertiary qualification relevant to the position, legal or similar qualifications are highly desirable; Current Driver's Licence.
