Senior Registrar (Advanced Endoscopy Fellow - Gut)This fellowship will aim at extending your knowledge and expertise in Gastroenterology and particularly in Endoscopy in preparation for entering your consultant years.
An opportunity has become available for a Senior Registrar (Advanced Endoscopy Fellow - Gut) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will Perform patient histories, examinations and diagnosis, including organising appropriate investigationsCoordinate interventional endoscopy consultations and listsProvide leadership and teaching to the junior members of the Gastroenterology department and contribute to researchExtend your knowledge and expertise in Gastroenterology and particularly in EndoscopyAbout you To be successful in this position you will require:
Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalentAHPRA RegistrationCompletion a minimum of 2- 3 years of Gastroenterology training and be eligible for medical registration in AustraliaEvidence of experience and skills meeting Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (CCRTGE) certification standardsEvidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis BTuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be requiredDeclaration of serious discipline history must be disclosedCriminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)Flexible work optionsSalary PackagingModern FacilitiesDiverse Work Culture12.75% super17.5% leave loadingTemporary full time (12 months)Base salary ranging from $160 444 - $176 802 per annumAbout Us The department of Gastroenterology currently has 23 Consultants, 2 advanced trainees and 4 Fellow positions. The department has three core subspecialities: Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Endoscopy and Hepatology, along with a comprehensive general Gastroenterology and Nutritional service.
