About the opportunity Are you a strategic thinker who is motivated by the delivery of positive economic and community outcomes and is passionate about evidence-based decision-making and stakeholder engagement? The Pilbara Development Commission is responsible for a project portfolio that requires experience and expertise in promoting local job creation, new industry development, economic research, and the design and delivery of tertiary education.
The Commission is looking for a Senior Regional Development Officer to play a key role in driving economic growth and shaping the future of our region. In this position, you'll combine your expertise in project delivery and strong analytical skills with an emphasis on building and managing relationships across government, industry, business, community, and Aboriginal organisations.
Key Responsibilities: Experience in project delivery.Experience undertaking analysis to inform decision makers, including monitoring and evaluation of the impact of development initiatives.Experience in regional development, community engagement, and/or related areas.Excellent skills in written and verbal communication and relationship building.If you have a passion for building connections, driving regional development, and delivering diverse projects, we want to hear from you!

Additional Information Pilbara Development Commission staff, including this position, are employees of DPIRD assigned to the Regional Development Commission under a staffing arrangement (section 29, of the Regional Development Commission Act 1993).
Am I eligible to apply? To be eligible for a permanent appointment to the Western Australian public sector, you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status in Australia. To be eligible for a fixed term or a casual appointment, you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period as part of your application.
