The Role
Our client is seeking someone with great organisation skills, the ability to interpret and apply legislation and provide training to staff on our records management system. The role will also administer a range of leases and licenses for Council facilities and assist with Freedom of Information Requests. This includes systems administration rights of the records management system, maintaining up to date policies and procedures, monitoring and assisting business units in complying with these policies and procedures and participating in future developments to enhance the Electronic Document and Records Management (EDRM).
Ensuring compliance of internal and external requirements in addition to practices meeting the departmental objectives Contributing to the planning and implementation of new process and systems Providing advice to staff throughout the business in relation to Record Management Maintaining and updating policies and procedures and conduct internal staff training programmes Ensuring compliance with State Records Act and Council Policies and Procedures Continues improvement of EDRM systems by keep up with current trends in record management About You
With high level of attention to detail and strong organisational skills, you'll be able to problem solve and apply technical knowledge of applicable legislation to our Council document management system. You'll be able to see the flow of information throughout Council, identify ways to streamline and standardise our information for easy access and control. You'll understand confidentiality, retention and destruction and have a passion for digitalised information. You'll be able to be part of our small team and influence the way we record our information across our entire business.
Previous experience in records management. High level of time management skills and work autonomously. Proven experience in the coordination of EDRM functions within a corporate environment and administration of an EDRM system. Have ability to develop standard operating procedures for the new records management function. Demonstrated ability to provide authoritative advice and training on records management and knowledge and experience with State Records Act and the Council's standards and practices. High level communication and customer service skills to work with stakeholders, prepare reports and provide written advice on records management, and services. About Our Client
