We are excited to partner with the Department of Education who are seeking a number of experienced Senior Records Management Officers to join their team.
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to critical statewide programs and provide expert advice on records management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic advice to school administrative staff on the appraisal, sentencing, destruction, and transfer of physical departmental records.
Ensure compliance with Queensland Government legislation, policies, and procedures related to recordkeeping, information management, and information governance.
Actively participate in statewide projects, providing progress reports, identifying risks, and liaising with project management and information management staff.
Deliver comprehensive training and mentoring to school staff and other departmental staff on best practices in records management.
Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment to achieve project goals.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Extensive knowledge of records management principles and practices.
Strong understanding of Queensland Government legislation and policies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
A willingness to travel within Queensland.
