Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS)Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor reporting into Commercial Manager. You will be overseeing a Project Quantity Surveyor and Apprentice Quantity Surveyor.Day Rate: £80k - £100k per day dependent on experience.Location: BirminghamProject: HS2 Curzon Street.Company: Prestigious civil engineering contractor. They're well known in the industry and have a great reputation for offering long term contracts with progression internally.Duties:Undertake pre-contract setup, including forecasting, measurement, sub-contract tendering and procurement.Manage the commercial aspects of various projects, including valuations/applications, budget monitoring, material/plant reconciliation, and contract variations/compensation events and change.Assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.Procurement and management of subcontract packages.Responsible for producing and maintaining project forecasts.Maximise cashflow through the control and valuation of works, invoicing, and payment process.Establishing and maintaining client relationships.MUST HAVE: Senior Quantity Surveyor with experience within civil engineering. Must have self-delivery experience.
