We foster close relationships with each client to understand their needs and identify unique investment opportunities for their benefit.Your new roleThe focus of this role is to undertake investment research, analysis and reporting to support the research and advice functions of JANA's business. A large component of this work will require advanced data analysis and programming ability.This full-time role can be based in JANA's Melbourne or Sydney office and report to the Senior Consultant.Some of your responsibilities will include:
Analyse data using statistical techniques in complex data sets - this may include identifying and interpreting trends or patterns and/or statistical hypothesis testing or model-fitting.Conduct general research on financial, asset class, or portfolio questions, potentially supported by original modelling work. In particular, the research focus will be Capital Market Assumptions.Develop, maintain and review interactive spreadsheets and/or dashboards.About youEqually challenging and rewarding, this opportunity is perfect for someone with:Strong/developer-level experience creating and testing Python and SQL2-5 years relevant work experience (Capital markets knowledge an advantage)Ability to use statistical techniques to analyse complex data applications (or similar) within a version-control environmentSME-level knowledge of key Quant systems or similar experience in other systemsBeing part of the team at JANA is just the beginningAt JANA, we offer rewarding careers for outstanding professionals where you will receive recognition based on your performance.
