Positioned in our Fruit & Veg team this role is responsible for leading all quality assurance activities at our Wyong Distribution Centre ( located on Central Coast NSW ) which services 80 stores.
Wyong based role, Tuesday - Saturday roster 2am -10.30am shifts (may vary) Work closely with various internal stakeholders including the Distribution Centre, Buying and Store teams.Inclusive culture with a focus on creating genuine career opportunities  We are Woolworths Group

What you'll do This role requires you to be working within a refrigerated environment for the majority of your shift.  Validate the compliance with product quality and labelling specifications set by the Woolworths quality assurance team and Government LegislationDevelop and maintain efficient rosters and succession plans in Quality Control to increase team productivity and bring to life flexibilityCollaborate with the Commercial Buying Team to ensure we are delivering the best quality offer for store operations to enhance customer experienceAssist the Fruit and Veg leadership team with key metrics and Ways of Working, provide valuable and constructive feedback for the purposes of recognition and development opportunitiesReport to the Fruit & Vegetables Operations Manager and working alongside the buying teams to deliver safe, quality products in line with Woolworth's specifications and company KPI's What you'll bring Proven experience leading a developing a high performing and diverse team Previous experience managing the performance, development, and engagement of direct reportsFirm understanding of supermarket retailing, commercial and supply chain processesDemonstrated the ability to make changes that result in quantifiable business benefitsPrevious experience in Fruit & Veg or Fresh industries would be an advantage to ensure you are set up for success in this role
