We are seeking an expression of interest for a large Wind Farm project in NSW.
This role will be based in Brisbane.
Major Responsibilities: Reviews and develops other commercial and technical data prepared by Engineering, Construction, Finance, Sustainability, Logistics, Insurance, Tax and other procurement functional groups and inputs suitable terminology into pro-forma documents.Prepares, maintains, and monitors project bidder's lists, ensuring input is received from all procurement functions and other operational groups.Performs Prequalification activities.Communicates with Engineering to assist and/or guide them in the preparation of material requisitions.Undertakes procurement activities to support the development of the Class 2 estimate which includes market engagement, issuance and collation of firm and budget estimates, assists in the development of procurement strategy, issuance packages to the market, negotiate with suppliers and coordinate with other functions to finalise recommendations and preparing executable purchase orders as needed.Communicates with suppliers to achieve required service and meets project needs.Manages weekly reporting for the purchasing activities.Collaborates with project Procurement team when instructed in solving and attending to administrative problems on commitments involving high monetary expenditure or risk, engineered technical specifications or supplemental commercial conditions.Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.Required Knowledge and Skills: Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and contract terms with suppliers to get the best value for the company while maintaining strong relationships.Technical Procurement Skills: Familiarity with sourcing tools, procurement software, and document management systems.Time Management: Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment, ensuring procurement activities do not delay overall project progress, while working without supervision.Understanding of Engineering and Technical Requirements: Strong understanding of the technical aspects of the materials and equipment being procured is important and helps ensure that purchasing decisions align with project specifications and meet engineering standards.Diverse teams build the extraordinary: As a global company, Bechtel has long been home to a vibrant multitude of nationalities, cultures, ethnicities, and life experiences.
