Serco has a dedicated team of over 600 people supporting operations at Fiona Stanley Hospital and works in close partnership with the hospital leadership, WA Health, clinicians, and staff to deliver essential non-clinical facilities management, ICT and HR managed services. Our specialist team designs, manages and optimises the integrated services and are critical to the ongoing delivery of clinical services in Western Australia's largest and most digitally enabled public healthcare facility.
About the Role
The Senior Purchasing Officer is responsible for the Purchase to Pay Process for Serco at Fiona Stanley Hospital. This is a pivotal role in delivering efficient P2P processes within the business, leading the purchasing function and will coordinate, oversee, and deliver Purchasing transactions as well as resolve P2P issues ensuring value for Serco and its stakeholders.
Reporting to the Strategic Procurement Manager, the Senior Purchasing Officer will deliver Purchase Order transactions, resolve blocked invoices and GR/IR issues and will work closely with the various Service Lines at FSH to resolve P2P issues. The role will also oversee, manage and develop the Purchasing Officers and be accountable for the Purchase to Pay process for Serco at FSH while ensuring that Purchase Orders and Invoices are raised and paid in an accurate and timely manner.

You have strong organisational skills, with the capacity to successfully manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines. You work independently with minimal direction and possess excellent stakeholder management skills. You are not afraid to seek out information or follow up with stakeholders to help solve problems.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Buying experience/ P2P system experience within SAP or guided buying or excellent experience in other similar systemsExperience in purchasing in similar industry or environment.Experience managing and clearing blocked invoices and invoice issues and resolving issues in the purchase to pay process.Accounts Payable experience preferable and financial exposure/understanding5+ years Purchasing experience preferable, with mentoring and coaching experience.If you are inspired to make a positive different and would like to be considered for this opportunity, please apply now.
