Client DetailsThe business is a medium sized fabrication business in Brisbane's South East. Creating and delivering steel products for home builders; the business has recently received investment and has promoted its incumbent to a national role. As a result, the business needs a dynamic Procurement Specialist on site to lead the function.

DescriptionReporting to the General Manager, you will lead the Procurement function with a focus on building strong & sustainable relationships with suppliers. You will be directly responsible for the operationalisation of the procurement strategy (set with the CFO) and cover:
Leading the Procurement function ensuring optimum stock control levels are cost effectively maintained whilst staying ahead of scheduled delivery dates negotiated with clients.Building strong strategic relationships with suppliers & customers to influence the cost effectiveness and sustainability of procurement operations.Managing the reporting of all procurement operations (stock focus) into the Executive Leadership Team, constantly reviewing systems and procedures to promote innovation, maximise efficiencies and deliver outstanding customer service.Building a positive continuous improvement culture through proactive leadership; setting clear goals & targets, empowering performance and facilitating a learning environment.Managing the reporting of all estimating forecast, operations & win ratios into the Executive Leadership Team, assisting with estimating activities for selective major and complex projects. ProfileYou are a senior Procurement/ Purchasing/ Procurement Officer/ Specialist with your experience gained from within a steels, materials, construction or building products environment. You will have led a small team before and hold expertise regarding dealing with subcontractors and customer pricing, purchasing and inventory. Ideally, you will hold a relevant tertiary qualification.

Job OfferCirca $125,000 + super + bonus (negotiable dependent on experience).
