Job Advertisement: Senior Purchasing Officer
Location: Bunbury
A prominent company in the mining sector is seeking a Senior Purchasing Officer with Pronto experience to join their team.
This role is essential for ensuring the efficient supply of goods and services required for project operations.
Responsibilities:
Drive cost-saving initiatives by optimising procurement processes, ensuring adherence to policies, and collaborating effectively with stakeholders.
Provide expertise in procure-to-pay matters and work with the Manager of Procurement & Systems to enhance procedural efficiency.
Deliver training, support, and promote best practices in procurement processes to enhance overall business efficiency.
Maintain accurate vendor data, convert Purchase Requisitions (PRs) to Purchase Orders (POs) in Pronto to ensure smooth operations and financial clarity.
Ensure compliance with internal standards, regulations, and budget protocols while negotiating savings and exploring new vendor sources.
Assist in contract sourcing, negotiation, and execution while expediting overdue items and fostering competitive vendor relationships.
Requirements:
Extensive experience in Purchasing and Procurement.
Proficient in the use of Pronto procurement systems (essential).
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs.
Experience in the mining, construction, or manufacturing industries is a strong advantage.
Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills.
Desired Qualifications:
Diploma in Business/Supply A Class and Forklift Licences Competence in Manual Handling.
