A great opportunity for an experienced Senior Public Administration and Policy Officer to join this busy team.
About the role: • Leading the development and updating of internal and external guidance with a participant focus that reflects the Agency's policy positions and meets our plain English and accessibility standards.
• Listening and responding to feedback from participants and disability peak bodies to ensure the participant is at the centre of all Agency's guidance.
• Understanding of the key stages of the participant pathway, specific participant cohorts and technical processes within SAP CRM and PACE business system requirements.
• Analysing supporting data and systems to develop internal and external guidance that reflects the Agency's policy positions and best practice.
• Initiating, establishing, and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Representing the branch as a guidance subject matter expert in multi-disciplinary teams and providing guidance expertise and advice for the delivery of requests from the Agency's executive, Board, Minister and other Australian Government Departments in a timely manner.
• Supporting continuous improvement for all branch deliverables, including maintaining best practice and identifying and implementing innovations.
• Managing multiple priorities while maintaining high work standards, governance protocols and accuracy, meeting defined timeframes and performing other duties as requested.
About you: • Experience in writing clear, easy to understand resources • Ability to translate complex information into plain English • Initiating, establishing, and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders • Research and gather information from diverse sources to ensure resources are evidence based • Implements work plans, setting tasks and priorities while adjusting plans as required • Managing multiple priorities while maintaining high work standards and accuracy, meeting defined timeframes and performing other duties as requested • Identifies problems and works to resolve them • Provide advice to the branch about opportunities for improvement • Ability to work under limited direction, guided by policies, accepted standards and ways of working • Understanding of the Disability Sector and Act Benefits: • ASAP start (pending Federal Police Clearance) • Assignment until the 31/12/2025 with the possibility of extension • Full time hours Monday to Friday • Geelong, Melbourne, Newcastle, Adelaide, and Canberra locations + hybrid working from home options.
