We are hiring for a Senior Propulsion Engineer (Engine Systems) to support the Head of Propulsion Engineering with the design, test, and production of high-performance liquid bi-propellant rocket engines for our family of orbital launch vehicles. There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do.Lead the design and development of liquid rocket engines at the system levelPerform trade studies and performance analyses on pump-fed liquid rocket engines for our family of the orbital launch vehiclesCreate document packages for design reviews, post-test reviews and launch readiness milestonesSupport the design, development, and commissioning of new engine test facilitiesDefine test requirements and support test campaigns to develop and qualify liquid engine systemsSupport vehicle integration & test activities, as well as launch operationsAct as a mentor to and support the development of junior team members in conjunction with the Head of PropulsionOverseas travel to meet external consultants when requiredOther duties as requested by managementMandatory Qualifications, Skills and Experience:Bachelors (BS) degree in an Engineering disciplineNV1 Security Clearance eligible preferredDesired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:10+ years of experience in a similar role (e.g., propulsion industry)Working knowledge of liquid engine system development activities from initial requirement definition through flight qualification/operationUnderstanding of engine system performance and power balance analysis tools and methodsFamiliarity withKnowledge of engineering analysis tools and CAD systemsKnowledge of ECSS (E-10/30/60), MIL and NASA standards (as appropriate)Proficient in Microsoft Office applicationsHow to Apply:If you are a proactive team player with a passion to get Australia to space and a desire to succeed, please apply now by clicking the apply button and including your resume and cover letter or head to our website: CAREER | Gilmour Space Technologies | Rocket launch provider (gspace.com).Gilmour Space Technologies is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
