Senior Property Underwriter

The Client:
Our client has been in operation since 2005 and has been industry-leading in providing innovative insurance options to the market and providing expert guidance to their client base. The company is looking to grow after experiencing significant growth and is focused on finding excellent underwriting talent to join its growing teams.
The Senior Property Underwriter position is a product specialist role based in the Melbourne CBD, supporting underwriting colleagues and providing underwriting services to the broker market.
Key Responsibilities:
Work in partnership with underwriting colleagues, product managers and insurer partners to deliver strong portfolio performance.
contribute to continuous improvement in the underwriting processes.
Provide technical leadership with the underwriting team to develop their capabilities and foster a collaborative team environment
Encourage team communication and communicate relevant information from the product management team.
Experience and skills required :
A minimum of 4 years experience working in an underwriting role on property lines
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to both build relationships and influence at all levels.
Demonstrate an ability to train and develop new staff members
Ideally, hold tertiary qualifications to fulfil role duties
Display excellent collaboration, communication and negotiation skills both internally and externally.
