Be part of the iconic Market in the heart of the CityFantastic way to be part of and give back to the community you live inFull time, fixed term role until February 2027Your opportunity The Senior Property Officer will support the Manager, Commercial and Property, ACMA in the management of the commercial and property functions of the Adelaide Central Market ("Market") in addition to the successful delivery of the Market Expansion project to facilitate the growth of the Market and attract more shoppers and visitors.
The role is responsible for continuous improvement and performance of the Market through the management and delivery of a fully leased and compliant property portfolio. This will include negotiation and execution of agreements, financial and administrative management of leases and licences, agreement compliance and overseeing the delivery of fit outs and tenancy alterations.
Reporting directly to the Manager, Commercial and Property, ACMA – the role also works closely with the Development & Property Board Committee as well as the ACMA General Manager and Operations Manager.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
Extensive experience in the leasing of large and mixed-use commercial and retail facilities, with a track record of successful negotiations.Experience in lease management and Progenesis software.Proven ability to provide timely, reliable and expert advice on matters within the area of responsibility and excellent technical knowledge of the Retail & Commercial Leases Act 1995.Highly developed project management skills which underpin the timely development of strategies, projects and programs in a dynamic and competitive marketplace.Ability to perceive the political implications of various decision paths across a complex matrix of stakeholder groups before acting and able to integrate across inter-related programs or groups to achieve outcomes.About Us The Adelaide Central Market has been an icon in the city for over 150 years and it is a key component of the City of Adelaide's strategic vision for a vibrant economically prosperous city. Please be advised this is a full-time fixed term opportunity with a starting salary at the Level 8 Classification commencing at $127,346 + 11.5% superannuation. Please note that commencing the first full pay period of January 2025, there will be a 3% enterprise salary increase to $131,166 + super.
