Senior Projects Coordinator

We have a key opening for a dynamic Senior Projects Coordinator to enhance and support our projects team in Brisbane. This pivotal role focuses on ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and safe transportation of cargo, driven by exceptional stakeholder engagement.
Your Role Will Involve: Actively participating in port activities, including overseeing vessel discharges to ensure everything runs smoothly and complies with standards Crafting competitive quotes for Air/Sea, Out of Gauge, and Domestic Road/Air shipments Negotiating rates with carriers and suppliers to keep costs down Managing the daily ins and outs of project shipments, with a special focus on out-of-gauge cargo Working closely with clients, suppliers, and our internal teams to ensure seamless operations Coordinating onsite handling, ensuring projects stay compliant, and keeping administration and reporting on track Monitoring and tracking shipments to ensure they arrive on time and sorting out any issues that pop up About You: Proven track record in out-of-gauge freight, project management, and overseeing vessel discharges Deep knowledge of Air/Sea/Road operations and industry regulations Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills Skilled in MS Office, Excel, and transportation management software Able to handle pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain a sharp eye for detail A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and getting the job done Why DB Schenker?
