Senior Project Officer (Vpsg5)

Senior Project Officer, VPS5 position, Fixed Term: 2 years.
About the role This fixed term (2 year) position is responsible for progressing a range of projects related to teaching and learning within the Curriculum and Teaching Practice Division of the Teaching, Learning and School Performance sub group of Schools and Regional Services. Initially the role will focus on teaching, learning and assessment policy and guidance, in the context of existing commitments for the Teaching and Learning Branch. Making connections across the work of the other two branches in the division as well as the broader department will also be critical.
In supporting the divisional leadership team, including managers and the executive, the position will be responsible for providing advice on emerging issues in teaching, learning and assessment; undertaking research and analysis; and assisting to develop evidence-based options for decision making. The work will include support for project planning and implementation, contract management and reporting requirements.
The successful applicant will demonstrate flexibility and a high level of initiative. They will have strong verbal and written communication skills. They will also have strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, supporting the division's stakeholder engagement, consultation and negotiation on policy and project issues.
