Queensland Ambulance Service (Organisation site)Finance Infrastructure and Procurement; Office of the Deputy Commissioner Corporate Services; Head Office; KedronThe Project Officer, Minor Works and Maintenance provides support to the Infrastructure Program Coordinator in the state-wide formulation, coordination, implementation and management of QAS building related programs, including statutory, planned and unplanned maintenance, condition assessment, asbestos auditing and management, soft services and minor capital works.The role will also provide financial and program management of Minor Works and Maintenance sub-programs, coordinate and deliver accommodation and fit out projects and assist other branch team members with the planning and delivery of major capital works projects, the development of policy and guidelines and provide advice to the QAS Regional staff to ensure consistency with the objectives of the QAS.Job detailsPosition status: Fixed Term TemporaryPosition type: Flexible full-timeOccupational group: Health - Qld AmbulanceClassification: AO5Workplace Location: KedronJob ad reference: QLD/607720/24Closing date: 02-Jan-2025Yearly salary: $103948 - $112946Fortnightly salary: $3984.30 - $4329.20Job duration: End of June 2025 with possible extension.We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:Demonstrated strong commitment to client service as evidenced by attitude and behaviour.Demonstrated capability and experience in successfully developing, implementing and managing state-wide Maintenance and/or Minor Capital Works Programs, including the development and management of budgets and financial analysis of expenditure.Demonstrated well developed communication, negotiation, consultation, and collaboration skills including the ability to analyse data and prepare high level reporting and correspondence.Demonstrated innovative and analytical problem-solving skills, with a flexible and agile approach to a complex, rapidly changing and sensitive organisational environment.High level organisational skills, well developed judgement and the proven ability to multitask in an environment of competing priorities and needs with finite resources.Demonstrated knowledge and ability to interpret and apply government requirements, relevant legislation and policy, and contribute to strategic planning and the provision of specialist advice.Proven ability to build and maintain productive internal and external relationships with clients and stakeholders and influence these parties to achieve organisational objectives.Well-developed organisational skills and the proven ability to manage and coordinate external teams to effectively and efficiently prioritise work and meet operational deadlines and objectives.The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:The incumbent may be required to travel intrastate on official business and the possession of a C class driver's licence is required.Whilst not mandatory, a qualification or formal training in Building Construction or Design, Facilities Management, Project Management, Business Management and/or Queensland Government Procurement would be considered highly desirable.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Further informationWe are committed to building inclusive cultures in the Queensland public sector that respect and promote human rights and diversity.Please ensure you download all attachments and follow the instructions on how to apply.
