This is a sixteen (16) month fixed term, full-time position commencing February 2025 with possible extension The Secondary, District High Schools and Post School Pathways branch provides advice and subject matter expertise to schools, regions and the system in relation to secondary and district high school provision, and manage programs and initiatives that provide specialist and targeted services to schools with secondary school-aged students.
The Role The Senior Project Officer plays a key role in supporting the Defence Industry School Pathways Program by driving its development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
This includes conducting detailed research and data analysis to assess program effectiveness, identify improvement opportunities, and inform senior management through comprehensive briefings and discussion papers.
Collaborating closely with stakeholders, the role ensures that program priorities align with departmental goals, delivering sustainable outcomes for teachers and students.
Success in this role requires exceptional analytical and communication skills, with a strong emphasis on preparing high-quality reports, correspondence, and responses.
Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders is essential, fostering collaboration across teams to achieve integrated service delivery.
The Senior Project Officer will contribute to the ongoing refinement of protocols and procedures, ensuring the program continues to meet the evolving needs of schools, teachers, and students.
