Advertised Vacancy Number: DOE899485 This is a fixed term, full-time position commencing ASAP up until the end of March 2026 with possible extension.Professional BenefitsWorking for the Department of Education attracts a range of attractive benefits including: 11 percent employer contributions to superannuationMore than 20 days of other leave, including sick leave and carers' leave The Role and our BranchWe encourage all applicants with diverse professional experiences to apply.Program Kaartdijin has been established to develop a functionally fit, technologically robust solution to replace the current School Information System (SISClassic) and include additional information capture and reportability.The Program focuses on providing short term solutions as well as a longer-term solution that meets the operational needs of schools and the reporting and management needs of the Department at large.The Program vision is to provide a contemporary administrative and finance solution connecting people, processes and systems for school communities now and into the future.The new Kaartdijin Solution will replace the SISClassic suite of applications currently used in 800+ schools throughout Western Australia.The Department has contracted TechnologyOne as the provider of the core finance functionalities and Compass Education as the provider of the billing, student administration and school administration functionalities for schools.The Program values are: Integrity in all we doOpen and transparent communicationCollaborative approach – Shared goals and objectivesCommitment and cooperationValue all contributionsExceptional customer service Program Kaartdijin is seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Officer to join their dynamic team.As a member of the schools' team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the Kaartdijin solution is ready for schools to use.You will provide specialist advice to prepare the solution for deployment and inform the implementation of the solution to schools.This includes providing advice to the training and deployment workstreams to inform their planning and work artefacts, as well as providing support to schools and department business units.In this role, you will conduct in-depth investigations and analyses of complex issues, policies, and practices associated with the configuration of the solution, and apply these to inform training and deployment.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential.The ideal candidate will apply their extensive knowledge of school processes, including enrolment, attendance, pastoral care, teacher absence and timetabling, and provide recommendations.applying their experience across various school contexts.A comprehensive understanding of the enrolment policies and processes, attendance policies and processes, DOE systems, and timetabling would be advantageous.It is important within this role to maintain a focus on customer service delivery and continuous improvement of services.Cultural DiversityThe Department is an equal opportunity employer and encourages people with disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and persons from culturally diverse backgrounds to apply.Your written application will be assessed against the following Selection Criteria: Demonstrated substantial knowledge of student administration processes, related legislation, policies and the best practices for the provision and support of these, and proven ability to apply that knowledge effectively.Demonstrated highly developed project management skills, including management of timelines and physical and financial resources.Demonstrated highly developed conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to identify problems and provide overviews and strategies to address them.Shortlisted applicants will have their skills and experiences in relation to the remaining selection criteria assessed in the further stages of the recruitment process.Remaining selection criteria can be found on the attached Job Description Form (JDF).For a full outline of the role responsibilities and selection criteria, please refer to the JDF.It is recommended that you consider all information contained in the advertisement and any other related information before applying for the vacancy.All inquiries are welcomed
