As our Senior Project Officer, you will: Tracking and reporting the activities of the Fire Ant Suppression Taskforce (FAST) work plan, including deliverables and key performance indicators, and the coordination and production of the FAST Annual Report and other reporting as required.Develop solutions to allow real-time reporting (such as Power BI dashboards) of the progress of activities by FAST and its fire ant self-management partners.Analyse data from across a broad range of sources (internal and external) including databases and mapping programs to determine trends and summarise results.Assist in the writing of project plans, briefing notes, reports to internal and external committees, presentations, guidelines, correspondence (including ministerial correspondence).Support the implementation of a project to activate Landcare, catchment and other relevant volunteer groups to participate in fire ant management, including procurement and operational activities such as ordering bait, equipment and logistical planning.Negotiate and communicate with a broad range of stakeholder groups in south east Queensland on behalf of FAST.Provide technical advice to stakeholders on the effective implementation of fire ant management, including risk mitigation, site prioritisation, surveillance, treatment and reporting.Ability to interpret and apply legislation, project plans, policies, procedures, guidelines and permits which relate to FAST activities.Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including various functions in the National Fire Ant Eradication Program, FAST and Biosecurity Queensland.You may also have: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or relevant transferable experience would be desirable.We are seeking the best suited candidate for the role.
