About the role The City Strategy team is a key part of Council's City Strategic Planning business unit, it is focused on shaping the development and monitoring of key Council environmental and social, strategies, plans and policy.
We are seeking a Senior Project Officer that will support the delivery of the Environmental Sustainability Strategy and associated projects through strategic advice, advocacy, and partnership management.
The position will report to the Project Team Lead and will work collaboratively to design and lead major projects and strategic programs within City Strategy with a focus on blue and green infrastructure.
The permanent full-time role will play an important role as a key point of contact working with stakeholders internally and externally to drive progress and respond to issues related to Council's environmental priorities.
About You The successful candidate should have previous experience in leading the development and implementation of a range of environmental sustainability or resilience related policy, plans or strategies.
You will also bring: Proven ability to deliver cross-functional projects, policies and/or strategies with a focus on green and blue infrastructure planning.
Demonstrated high level application of analytical, creative thinking and problem-solving skills in a complex, multidisciplinary environment.
Exceptional ability to communicate, negotiate, build relationships and influence others with an engaging approach and technique.
Strong communication skills and effective management of partnerships, including both internal and external stakeholders.
Experience working in Local Government highly desirable.
Degree qualifications in urban planning, environmental science, project management or related strategy field.
What's on offer We are offering an attractive remuneration from $117,832.69 to $129,758.40 plus 11.5% superannuation.
