The City of Parramatta is looking for an energetic Senior Project Officer to spearhead key projects within our City Strategic Planning Team.

About the Role In this pivotal position, you will drive the advocacy, inception and delivery of priority projects that align with our global city vision Parramatta 2050.
You'll collaborate cross-functionally to solve complex challenges and ensure strategic goals are met, helping to shape the future of City of Parramatta.
On a daily basis, this role will see you: Leading and managing major projects and strategic programs, ensuring they align with Council values of customer focus, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.
Fostering collaboration among interdisciplinary teams to support high-quality project delivery.
Applying creative thinking and problem-solving skills to reframe challenges and encourage innovative solutions.
Identifying and maximising strategic opportunities that align with Council priorities and vision.
Developing and presenting reports and communications for various audiences, including senior staff and external stakeholders.
Conducting impact measurement initiatives to track progress against strategic objectives.
Contributing to the development and management of systems and processes that promote organisational alignment.
Monitoring performance metrics to identify delivery risks and enable proactive mitigation strategies.
About You We're looking for someone who is not only experienced but also passionate about making a difference.
You will bring: A degree in a relevant field such as communications, policy, planning, innovation, or project management.
Significant experience & demonstrated success in project management and administration, delivering integrated outcomes across complex initiatives.
A demonstrated ability to identify and address complex challenges with innovative solutions.
Experience and success in developing strategic documents and policies that drive progress.
Advanced written and verbal communication skills tailored for diverse audiences, particularly in creating strategic documents.
Strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex data sets and simplifying them for various stakeholders.
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet tight deadlines, and balance competing demands.
An engaging communication style with proven ability to build relationships, negotiate, and influence outcomes.
A passion for innovative thinking and creative thinking.
A solid understanding of the role and purpose of local government, along with a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in all practices.

What's on offer We are offering an attractive remuneration from $117,832 to $129,758 plus 11.5% superannuation.
In addition, City of Parramatta also offer excellent employee benefits which include: A range of flexible work arrangements including hybrid WFH arrangements (3 days in office, 2 from home).
