Join us at the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) as a Senior Project Officer, where you will play a pivotal role in developing a water management plan for the Greater Cumbung Region in south-west NSW.
About the role: The south-west Environmental Water and Floodplain team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Project Officer – to join our dedicated and highly regarded environmental water management team to be a key contributor in supporting the delivery of positive environmental outcomes for the communities of NSW. 
What you will do: You will be responsible for contributing to the development of the Greater Cumbung Region Water Management Plan, and Project management and coordination. The WMP is intended to inform and guide future environmental water management decisions in the region.
About you: Substantial experience in coordinating projects and administrating BAU functions in a similar environment. This includes managing project teams, contractors, and stakeholders &, supporting governance and functions like procurement, risk, asset, incident and change management. Demonstrated experience in undertaking research in partnership with landholders and resource managers, on biodiversity and threatened species matters. Excellent communication and organisation abilities, with a demonstrated track record of collaborating across diverse stakeholder groups and being able to communicate to a wide range of audiences. Demonstrated ability to be highly self-motivated, organised, work effectively both autonomously whilst also in a geographically dispersed team environment.
