About the Senior Project Officer:

Complete desktop assessments including collection and review of site data with a focus on water quality and water management.
Plan, commission, monitor and interpret findings from technical investigations, studies and field monitoring activities into a proposed project scope.
Develop technical specifications required to engage consultants and contractors in line with relevant department procurement processes.
Undertake procurement planning and execution in line with approved budget.
Undertake effective management of contract activities and assess the performance of the contracts against the performance and evaluation criteria.
Understand and incorporate project and operational risk assessment processes into management plans and be able to facilitate workshops to characterise relevant risks and controls.

The following requirements are essential to this role:

A university degree from a recognised tertiary institution in a technical field would be highly regarded.
Experience in the mining industry.
Proven Project management qualifications and experience.
An open C class driver licence is mandatory.
Physical fitness is necessary for field work in remote locations and challenging terrains.
