You will liaise within and between Native Title Indigenous Land Services and technical teams with the Department of Resources to ensure the timely and accurate handling of claims through research and spatial data development.The role requires experience with spatial and/or mapping systems, coupled with the ability to manage multiple projects. Understanding Queensland's land titling system will also be beneficial to this role. Job details Position status:

About the role:A day in the life of a Senior Project Officer, you will be: Responsible for spatial data management and verifying complex tenure research against historic title and spatial systems. Contributing to research reports and project plans related to native title and compensation claims. Providing advice on spatial data representation within a project management framework. Managing research data interaction with the NTILS spatial mapping system and ensuring proper data retention and presentation. Contributing to the development and improvement of the NTILS spatial mapping system. Facilitating the interface with government and external stakeholders to ensure accessibility and data sharing.
To be successful you will have: Experience with spatial or mapping systems as you will produce new spatial layers/information. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and business processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that contribute positively to workplace equity, diversity, and a culture of respect and inclusion. A tertiary qualification in Spatial Science or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
