IRV consists of two branches plus the Office of the Deputy Secretary:Private Sector Industrial RelationsPublic Sector Industrial RelationsNational Labour Hire Project (NLHP)The National Labour Hire Project (NLHP) team is a multi-disciplinary team responsible for preparatory work leading to establishing a new independent statutory body, the National Labour Hire Regulator (NLHR), administering a national labour hire licensing system proposed to replace the four existing state and territory-based licensing schemes and expand the application of licensing to the other four jurisdictions. The project is being led by the Victorian Government on behalf of all State, Territory and Commonwealth governments, to ensure a harmonised approach to labour hire regulation across Australia. The harmonised approach is intended to provide a level playing field for labour hire businesses and protect vulnerable workers from unlawful exploitation.About the roleKey accountabilitiesAssist with the project establishment of a new independent statutory body – the National Labour Hire Regulator (Regulator) – providing high quality project support.Develop and maintain an effective project schedule and work breakdown structure consistent with organisational objectives, including monitoring work against the baseline and reporting on status to Executive leadership.Coordinate and develop key briefing materials for the Executive Team, ensuring adequate preparation for all meetings, events and associated activities.Actively engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, developing professional and productive working relationships in a complex and time-pressured environment to achieve project deliverables and build buy-in and support.About youWe are seeking applications from candidates with:Demonstrated experience in project administration/coordination and the provision of the full range of project, administrative and operational support functions to a project team.Strong project management skills, including establishing and maintaining project plans, project schedules, risk and decision registers and other project documentation, experience in Microsoft Project, and project management methodology.Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and changing priorities through effective priority setting, negotiation skills and the ability to adapt to business needs.Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to support project and related business activities.Demonstrated experience in establishing relationships with and liaising with a diverse range of stakeholders, understanding their underlying needs and issues in relation to planning, project management and support functions.Experience and qualificationsA formal qualification in project management is highly desirable.Experience in project management roles will be well regarded, including contract management, procurement and financial reporting.About our cultureWe aim to be a model employer providing an inclusive workplace that is understanding and respectful of differences such as gender, identity, race, disability or age.
