Salary: Level 6, $110,309 - $121,569 per annum (pro-rata) (PSCA 2022)
This is a fixed term, full-time position commencing ASAP up until February 2026.
The Infrastructure Division is responsible for the planning, construction and maintenance of the Department's schools and building facilities. Infrastructure services and supports:
school and facility planning capital works on new and existing schools maintenance of existing schools management and operational support of school facilities and resources. The Role
If successful, you will play a key role in coordinating, planning, designing, and developing Capital Works projects within the Department. You will also contribute to a current Commonwealth initiative program, optimising the outcome for the selected schools. Your responsibilities will involve providing valuable advice and support to the Principal Project Officer, participating in meetings with the Commonwealth, and the delivery of effective and accurate reporting. You will actively support schools, ensuring that their building and related needs are identified and assessed in alignment with Departmental policy, criteria, and equity issues.
The Senior Project Officer compiles equitable programs for provision of capital works and appropriate facilities management. They ensure the outcomes of projects and programs meet contemporary education standards to enable quality educational facilities to be delivered to clients.
It is important that the successful applicant can work in a team environment to ensure that building related needs are identified and assessed according to central office policy, criteria and issues. They will also be required to contribute to a work environment that is safe, fosters equity and diversity, enables the achievement of personal and EBS (Education Business Services) goals and facilitates accomplishment of designated roles and deliverables.
