As our Senior Project Officer, you will:
Work cooperatively across the NFAEP to establish an innovation framework aimed at building new and novel ways to eradicate fire ants.Develop and apply project management skills and knowledge to successfully scope, plan and deliver innovation pilot projects.Facilitate problem definition workshops aimed at extracting the unique problems faced by our teams across the NFAEP in eradicating fire ants.Engage with the Queensland innovation ecosystem across universities, various innovation hubs, and industry to build strong relationships and enable the meeting of the Fire Ant Think Tank to progress through to solution development.Clarify project requirements and factors driving and impacting on the project with the Manager and/or project leads and/or stakeholders.
Develop, manage and negotiate revision of schedules with the project lead and assist with allocation of work to staff as required so the project deliverables are completed to the required standard in agreed timeframes.Develop and manage regular reporting and updates to project leads or the Manager through strong data capture and management on the performance and progress of the pilot projects.Monitor and escalate emerging issues in a timely manner and oversee the maintenance of records of stakeholder agreements.Research and analyse the project subject area/focus to support the development of project plans and proposals, to identify opportunities, emerging issues and possible solutions and/or to inform best practice and/or to improve project efficiency and/or to improve the quality of project outcomes.Support implementation of policies and procedures for work health and safety, incident and emergency responses including contingency plans.Support the Manager as required, for example, by contributing to the development of reports and presentation materials.Job detailsPosition status: Fixed Term Temporary
