Child Welfare, Youth & Family Services (Community Services & Development) Full time $120,859 - $ 133,183 pa plus super and loading Employment: Temporary position to 30/06/2026Location: Coffs Harbour, Ballina, Tamworth (Negotiable*)Salary ($120,859 - $ 133,183 pa), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loadingWhat you'll doThe Senior Project Officer (Homelessness) supports local strategies and responses to homelessness through District Homelessness Implementation Groups and other initiatives across the Mid North Coast, Northern NSW and New England Districts.The role is responsible for facilitating local consultation to ensure improved client outcomes in the specialist homelessness services sector and support implementation of projects under the NSW Homelessness Strategy.This role provides the opportunity to influence engagement with the sector and the local supply of services, whilst supporting stakeholder relationships directly contributing to better outcomes for individuals, families and communities.The position is pivotal in:Facilitating cross agency partnerships to support joint planning and homelessness providers, Local Health Districts and local councilsLeading on continuous service improvement activities in consultation with providers, including consultation, reporting and accountability processes.Enhancing collaboration between district specialist homelessness services and mainstream services through the work of DHIGs/working groupsCollaborating with providers to support the implementation and delivery of various homelessness servicesLeading procurement activities and commissioning of homelessness servicesWhat we're looking forTertiary qualifications in a related discipline and or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional developmentExcellent written and oral communication skillsProven experience working in high volume environment; managing multiple priorities with competing deadlinesExperience designing, implementing and coordinating a range of projectsIf you are viewing this ad in Seek and wish to apply via their portal, you will be required to either set up a profile or login via your existing Seek account.To apply directly via the DCJ Career site click here .
