Senior Project Officer | Governance and ComplianceDivision: Community Industry & CapacityLocation: Parramatta, NSW, AU, 2150Location - 6 Parramatta Square, Parramatta (flexible and hybrid work environment considered)Employment type - Full-time, ongoingSalary - From AUD $125,693 - $138,510 pa plus superannuation and employer's contribution to leave loadingYour roleAs Senior Project Officer, Governance and Compliance, you will provide advice and analysis to the Assistant Commissioner, Community Corrections and work with leaders across Community Corrections and with Departmental business partners to identify trends and develop proactive approaches to mitigating risks in the workplace.What you'll doCommunity Corrections has over 60 offices statewide, varying in size and complexity.
As part of the Planning and Reform team, Strategic Operational Management, Community Corrections you will work with the Community Corrections Executive to set strategic and business priorities and develop innovative solutions to support Community Corrections operations and promote a cohesive work environment for staff.You will be responsible for liaising with and building effective working relationships with the Community Corrections Executive and Managers to address issues and provide strategic advice to improve office culture.
You'll work in a small, fast-paced team, consisting of a Manager, three Senior Projects Officers and three Project Officers.Your responsibilities will include:Managing and overseeing all aspects of project planning, development and implementation for a range of projects, including developing project plans, coordinating resources, managing budgets, meeting reporting requirements, and supporting governance and compliance related activities, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope in line with established agency project management methodology.Identifying, managing and mitigating governance and compliance risks to enable Community Corrections to meet its obligations and maximise service delivery.Establishing and maintaining stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to engage stakeholders and ensure project, governance and compliance deliverables are met.Monitoring and evaluating all aspects of project implementation, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, project impact and quality measures, to identify and address issues, assess project progress and effectiveness, and achieve project outcomes.Ensuring compliance with governance and quality requirements, to successfully deliver all key governance and compliance project/s milestones and outcomes.Undertaking research and formulate recommendations to support evidence based project planning, governance and compliance advice and decision making.Providing advice and information to stakeholders on emerging governance, compliance issues and to support project development and delivery in line with established plans, budgets, timeframes, policy objectives and other governance and compliance priorities.Establishing and maintaining effective communication channels across the Division and the Department to ensure that the broad strategic objectives can be operationalised.What we're looking forWe are seeking a confident, enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our team!
