About Your Opportunity Working within the Infrastructure Planning and Capital Delivery Group (IPCD), this position will be responsible for providing high level administrative and assurance oversight and support across the IPCD program and project delivery portfolio for the early identification of project gaps and risks.
You will implement and maintain effective assurance and governance systems, communication channels and excellent working relationships between Seqwater Project Groups to coordinate the effective management of project and program governance forums and assurance activities.
You will also coordinate with project stakeholders to provide assurance to project sponsors regarding progress and quality objectives.
Key responsibilities: Apply sound project governance and assurance discipline to oversee and coordinate governance and assurance activities across the IPCD group, including project performance and governance compliance analysis to identify and implement improved Project Gateway Processes.Support project viability and the early identification of risks through undertaking pre-gate assurance reviews for projects / programs to ensure quality standards are upheld and business stage gate progression is well supported.Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships with IPCD project managers and other business groups through regular communication channels and follow-up mechanisms ensuring effective communication to support project delivery.Develop and maintain local systems, policies, processes and tools to ensure the effective management and tracking of project governance matters, providing assurance to project sponsors regarding progress and quality objectives.Ensure assurance reviews are undertaken of all governance meeting artefacts (e.g.
agendas, papers, stage gate deliverable, etc.)
prior to issue to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Project Gateway process.
Record and report any non-compliance to the Project Teams and relevant PMO stakeholders to enable correction prior to presentation at the governance meeting.About you To be successful in this role, you will possess:
High level applied knowledge of project management governance and assurance frameworks, processes, systems (IT) and tools.Demonstrated experience in auditing, preferably in a project management environment to identify gaps and risks to project viability.Experience in collaborating with project managers (ideally for large infrastructure projects) to prepare audit outcome papers and supporting documentation.Demonstrated experience providing high level governance support in a project environment.An understanding of the general principles surrounding project management.Knowledge or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of Seqwater's Project Gateway processes and systems.Well-developed stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate with a broad range of professional groups, staff, leaders and external stakeholders.This position has a salary range of $104,668 - $115,102 (dependent on experience) plus 12.75% superannuation.
