We have an incredible opportunity for a Senior Project Officer to join a dedicated team focused on delivering impactful community health initiatives. This role is based in a vibrant and culturally rich remote Aboriginal community in the Northern Territory.
As the Senior Project Officer, you will be at the forefront of designing, delivering, and evaluating strategic health projects that enhance primary healthcare services. You will work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders, including local cultural leaders, research institutions, and other health services, to develop initiatives that address community health needs. This role is essential in supporting the organisation's objectives and ensuring the success of both short- and long-term health projects.

Lead the coordination and management of community health projects, from research and design to implementation and evaluation Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including government bodies, health research institutions, and local cultural leaders Manage stakeholder engagement and establish effective project teams. Provide strategic input into policy directions and operational plans Prepare regular progress reports, ensuring all projects align with the organisation's strategic goals Coordinate health promotion activities and events tailored to the community's needs Selection Criteria Current NT Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) or ability to obtain one Manual NT driver's licence Relevant qualifications and/or extensive project management experience Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating community health initiatives, particularly in remote or cross-cultural settings Satisfactory criminal history check Must have full working rights for Australia (i.e. Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia/New Zealand, or a current, valid visa with no restrictions).
