The Department of Health plays a critical role in the Victorian health system and is responsible for shaping it to meet the health needs of all Victorians. About the role: Fixed term until 22nd January 2025
This role will be responsible for the analysis and reporting of data across the health asset portfolio in the Asset Information and Data Analytics Team. This includes day to day tasks as well as alignment with long-term strategic programs of the Asset Information Management System, developing, verifying, deploying and maintaining analytical and reporting tools, integrating data collection, identifying key issues, patterns and trends as well as continuous improvement of the processes in alignment with latest asset management guidelines and standards.

How you'll make a difference: This position will work closely and collaborate with the wider team, specific project teams, consultants and health services to systematically analyse the accuracy of the data collected. Positive engagement to foster good relations and support is critical in this role.
Experienced in data analytics, visualisation and business intelligence.Passionate about strategic asset management and asset management compliance.Flexible and Accountable: adaptable; open to new ideas; shows initiative; proactive and self-starting; seizes opportunities and acts upon them.A team player: cooperative and works well with others in pursuit of team goals, collaborates and shares information, excellent communication skills.Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate Analyse and visualise asset data, develop asset/health service/portfolio KPIs using multiple performance criteria, monitor, report and present the outcomes.Working closely with the data collection project teams (internal and external) to ensure the data collection planning is standardised and the collected data are as per the required standards of delivery.Monitoring and evaluating projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.Integrating data collected and stored within other applications and databases such as Oracle ADW, Victorian Agency for Health Information, Oracle Finance, GIS and BIM platforms.Provide authoritative advice and analysis of infrastructure planning issues involving clinical functionality and asset information.Develop and implement business processes and provide systematic consultation relating to business practice improvement options.Manage the Asset Information Management System and its stakeholders, including system usage, resolution of issues and improvements to the system.Through detailed data analysis and investigation, provide authoritative advice on trends, risks and issues associated with health service demand.Provide expert advice on the quality, accuracy, and relevance of data.Provide authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders and prepare and present detailed reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions on complex matters.Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approachBe responsible for overseeing, monitoring and delivering projects using internal or external resourcesin accordance with relevant legislation, government regulations and guidelines.Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislativerequirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace byWorking in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.To learn more please click 'Apply' to view the Position Description on the Careers.vic website.
