As a Senior Project Officer in the Youth Engagement Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for tracking all disengaged school-aged children across our region and supporting them to access and engage in education, training, or employment options, as well as supporting priorities and strategies aligned to the department's improvement agenda.

About the Role: The Student Child and Family Connect team identify and support vulnerable students to access multi-agency support to engage in continuous schooling.
As the Senior Project Officer, you will:
Undertake specialist project activities to achieve the outcomes expected of the project.Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of program plans and phases, including the coordination of the various activities associated with achieving the project objectives.Qualities and skills required by the Senior Project Officer include: Strong organisation and time management skills;Demonstrated interpersonal communication and case management skills, including the ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with young people, families, and external services;Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships;Ability to participate in designated project and organisational change activities;Ability to provide clear and regular reporting to senior officers and other staff on progress and agreed performance indicators to assist in monitoring and decision making;Ability to resolve problems and assist in the development and implementation of initiatives, plans, policies, procedures, processes, and systems for effective and efficient administration of departmental services;Demonstrated ability to support a positive team environment.This is a flexible, full-time position and can be based in either of the Toowoomba, Warwick, Roma, or Kingaroy offices.
