Senior Project Officer (Community Engagement), Queensland Health Join us as a Senior Project Officer (Community Engagement), where you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
The Senior Project Officer Community Engagement will assist the Executive Director of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health and Wellbeing by facilitating communication and supporting strategic programs designed to enhance the life expectancy of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Central Queensland.
Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.
About us: The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health and Wellbeing Directorate is an essential element of the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service.
The Directorate provides expert advice and guides the delivery of culturally appropriate health service planning and workforce management strategies to achieve optimal access, experience, and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
About the role: The Senior Project Officer Community Engagement will provide communication and engagement support to the Executive Director, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health and Wellbeing including support of the delivery of strategic programs aimed at improving the life expectancy of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Central Queensland.
About you: Mandatory qualification/s: Nil.
Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: While not mandatory, a relevant qualification in Community Development or Project Management would be well regarded.
Demonstrated experience of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, Traditional Owner groups and communities, with an understanding of the contemporary issues that impact their health and wellbeing.
Demonstrated project management experience utilising project management techniques and tools to achieve consistent and quality outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to interpret complex reports including policy documents and data reports to accurately inform progress against key performance indicators.
What we offer: Salary information: Total remuneration value of up to $148,323 p.a.
is comprised of: An hourly rate between $61.20 - $65.56 p.h.
