Biodiversity Conservation & Trust is seeking a suitably experienced Senior Project Officer (Governance), EO9 to join our Governance team.
The Senior Project Officer (Governance) manages key performance indicators, policy, and standard operating procedures for the governance function, particularly internal audit. The Officer also provides secretariat support concerning the key governing bodies of the BCT, including the Board and Audit & Risk Committee, as well as committees for the delivery of BCT programs.

Key knowledge and experience
Applicants are requested to demonstrate:
An understanding of the role and function of good governance for an entity in the context of the NSW Government, especially NSW Treasury audit and risk requirements.
Knowledge and experience in Secretariat support, including preparing agendas, reviewing papers, assisting with strategic planning, meeting logistics organisation and providing general member support.
The ability to research, analyse and present updated or new information for staff (including executives) and the Board and its sub-committee members.
The ability to develop and review policy and procedures, considering relevant standards.
About Us
The New South Wales Biodiversity Conservation Trust (BCT) is a not-for-profit statutory body, established under Part 10 of the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 and managed by a Board appointed by the Minister for the Environment.
The Trust's roles are to support and encourage landholders to enter into agreements to conserve and protect biodiversity on private land, guided by the government's Biodiversity Conservation Investment Strategy; secure biodiversity offsets when developers choose to pay into the Biodiversity Conservation Fund; and other activities that promote greater awareness of, appreciation and understanding of, biodiversity and the importance of conserving it.
