We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager with expertise in the WATER SECTOR:
Senior Project Manager (with a background in Mechanical engineering)
Key Objectives:
Project Management Quality, Safety, and Environmental compliance On-time project delivery within stipulated timeframe and budget HSE management Achieving approved project profit margin and cash flow targets Key Responsibilities
Strong focus on Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) mindset and compliance. Implement Project Management plans and procedures. Drive Project teams, including Project Managers and Project Engineers, to ensure the successful delivery of the project with full P&L responsibility. Set up governance controls for schedule, budget, forecast, EHS and accruals. Develop & Review Contract documents and Manage contract negotiations, variations, risks and opportunities. Ensure timely development and submission of deliverables (upstream and downstream) in line with the project requirements and contractual guidelines. Lead & Drive Project delivery in accordance with the stipulated schedule to ensure the timely completion of the project. Ensure successful implementation of HSE controls on the project. Promote sustainable and social procurement during the tender phase. Coordinate and manage client requirements in line with the contractual obligations to enhance client relationships. Drive subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and other stakeholders for the successful delivery of the project. Review monthly reports, including key parameters such as cost, schedule, HSE, procurement, risk and opportunities. Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the water industry, demonstrating a strong successful project management track record. Ideally, experience within the water industry is required; however, candidates from the construction/infrastructure sector with relevant expertise are encouraged to apply. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team members towards achieving project goals. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, focusing on client relationship management. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience in managing projects in the Water Sector (Preferred). Strong Leadership and Interpersonal Skills. Demonstrate high levels of performance in all areas of responsibility. Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
