Programme & Project Management (Information & Communication Technology)Government - Local (Government & Defence)Contract/Temp$133,554 – $150,507 pa with 4% increase in Oct 25The role of Senior Project Manager assumes accountability for delivery, both technical and business change, adhering to City's governance framework.Drawing on your skills as an ICT Senior Project Manager you'll have the opportunity to lead a variety of large, medium, or small sized ICT projects from foundational technology platforms and infrastructure to integrated enterprise and SaaS business applications.The first project assigned to this role will focus on the delivery of a critical Integration Migration Project, overseeing the migration and integration of key systems to ensure seamless operations and alignment with organisational priorities.What you'll bring to your new roleYou will have experience wearing multiple hats where you can work with cross-functional teams to deliver unique and complex projects. You can devise creative strategies and initiatives with the team to deliver business outcomes.Supporting the Product Owner to define the product roadmap and prioritisation of the backlog, you will be something of a mentor, bringing your passion for Agile practices and continuous improvement, always on the lookout for ways the team and City can improve.We are ideally looking for a candidate based on the Gold Coast. Although flexible working is offered, this role will require on-site presence at least 50% of the time to manage projects and coach effectively.To succeed in the role, you will:Demonstrate successful delivery of complex integration projects, including experience with IT infrastructure, software systems, and managing large-scale migration activities.Manage vendor relationships effectively, ensuring clear communication, alignment of expectations and adherence to contract terms. This includes overseeing a large external vendor responsible for delivering key project outcomes.Oversee the acquisition and management of project resources, including ICT hardware, software, and services.Liaise and negotiate with internal and external vendors to secure cross-functional services.Manage all aspects of the project, including scope, risks, issues, integration, and financials.Apply organisational change management practices to ensure strong customer engagement and ownership throughout the project.Ensure compliance with defined project management methodologies, processes, tools, and reporting requirements.Exhibit leadership, self-motivation, and proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence others and motivate the team to achieve desired outcomes.Lead with strong communication and management skills, committing the time and effort needed to meet role expectations.Be adaptable, open to new ideas, and committed to achieving individual and team performance objectives.Display high-level diplomatic and interpersonal skills to navigate challenges related to organisational change.Be part of shaping the Gold Coast's futureThe Gold Coast is inspired by lifestyle and driven by opportunity.
