About the Job We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Sydney, Australia, for a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This role will focus on managing complex projects within the insurance and superannuation sector, driving innovation and efficiency in our operations.
Lead and oversee multiple high-impact projects in the insurance and superannuation domain, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including risk assessments, resource allocation, and budget forecasts Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, deliverables, and key performance indicators Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project status, risks, and issues to senior management and key stakeholders Implement and maintain project management best practices, methodologies, and tools across the organization Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within project delivery Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure project alignment with compliance requirements Mentor and guide junior project team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing Qualifications Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent 7-10 years of project management experience, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects in the financial services sector Sound knowledge of insurance and superannuation regulations in Australia is desireable Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and their application in various project contexts Excellent risk management and stakeholder management skills Proficiency in budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira) Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels of the organization Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, changing environment Additional Information Benefits Our benefits have been designed so you can tailor your experience with us and include: Personal and professional development opportunities  Flexible, hybrid working – work to suit your lifestyle (must be based in Australia)   Purchase leave scheme and gender neutral 16 weeks paid parental leave  Super Contribution Continuation for 12 Months of parental leave  Meeting free breaks (Rest Stops)  Income Protection Insurance  Rest Excellence awards (peer recognition awards based on Rest's values and behaviours)  If you share our values, believe you can help make a difference for our members and want to be part of a leading superannuation fund with a Super culture, please click Apply Now.
