Senior Project Manager

You work together with your project team in an external customer project and track the progress.
Your daily work includes management and technical tasks and you solve issues which arise and look actively for improvements in your projects and daily working environment.
How You'll Make an Impact Leading the project team and ensuring coordination with key stakeholders such as the client, partners, manufacturers, suppliers, and contractors.Accountable for the delivery of the assigned tasks and deliverables of the project on schedule, within budget, and at the required level of quality and EHS.Ensure risks are proactively identified, assessed, and managed to avoid negative impacts on the project.Manage scope changes in a systematic and controlled manner, assess their impact on project scope, schedule, budget, and risks, and take appropriate measures.Ensure a good working relationship between the project team, line managers, and interfacing organizations.Guide PM colleagues who have less experience.Safeguard implementation of the acceptance (tests) and final project handover.Set up a proper project planning with a clear focus on critical time constraints and control the schedule on a regular basis by consulting all relevant project members.Hold regular project status meetings and organize acceptance of milestone work results.Responsible for quality and EHS for the entire project.Manage customer expectations and solve issues; identify/create additional opportunities out of the ongoing projects.Demonstrate leadership interculturally, set stretching goals, and achieve beyond.Foster an ownership culture within the project team.What You Bring Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar education.Several years of professional experience in EPC project management (> 5 years) and leading a project team.Experience within the electric power industry and knowledge of business issues associated with power delivery services.Proven ability to work on complex technical projects as well as leading multidisciplinary and culturally varied teams in international projects as a project manager.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills as well as leadership skills.Proven ability to communicate complex technical or commercial issues to peers, clients, and senior managers as well as to negotiate and resolve conflicts.Ability to lead technical discussions and negotiations with customers, suppliers, and contractors.PM@Siemens or IPMA Certification.Working rights for Australia or unlimited Permanent Residency, Driving License in Australia.Travel internationally as required, work on customer sites during the onsite phase of the projects for Installation and Commissioning Activities coordination and supervision.About the Team Our team is responsible for world-class execution and the successful delivery of complex projects across all Business Areas within Siemens Energy.
