Senior Project ManagerDigital, Data & Technology Portfolio Office (DD&T PO)Team: DD&T Portfolio OfficeEmployment Level: Executive Level 2Direct Reports: NilReports to: Portfolio Manager, Regulatory, Data and Enterprise ApplicationsYour team:The DD&T Portfolio Office provides a wide range of portfolio, project management, business planning and governance support services to our organisation. We partner extensively with IT Teams as well as the newly established Digital Transformation team to deliver projects that meet our strategic and operational business needs.Your role:As a Senior Project Manager, you will:Blend your project management and technical skillsets to deliver a variety of strategic business projects.Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal IT and organisation stakeholders as well as external stakeholders where appropriate.Comply with the organisation's Project Management Methodology, which is based on PRINCE2, and System Development Methodology (Agile, Hybrid or Waterfall as required).Drive projects to deliver within the approved KPIs: time, budget, scope, quality, risk and benefit.Embed the change utilising our Organisational Change Management Framework.Provide appropriate reporting to relevant project boards, sponsors and stakeholders.Control the project using appropriate tools and escalate early to minimize risk to success.Identify resource requirements, engaging and managing resources.Comply with the Commonwealth procurement rules and processes.As a valued member of the team, you will also:Be required to attend other offices nationally as required.Undertake additional responsibilities or tasks as required.Work professionally, positively and cooperatively, modelling the values of Accountability, Professionalism and Teamwork.Undertake reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others in the workplace that may be affected by your actions.Selection criteria:The selection criteria include the qualifications, experience and capabilities required for the role. Your application will be reviewed based on ability to demonstrate, or potential to develop, the capabilities required.Qualifications and experience:Minimum 7 years project management experience, with involvement in large, business critical systems and Australian Government projects being highly regarded.Minimum 3 years agile delivery experience.Current formal qualification in project management: e.g. PRINCE2, PMBOK.Experience in delivering business projects or previous experience in Business Operations.Current Australian Government security clearance will be highly regarded.A tertiary qualification in Information Technology or equivalent experience.Ability to work independently with limited supervision and be accountable for outcomes.Capabilities:Business process and project management:The demonstrated ability to:Manage resources effectively and efficiently to achieve project goals including timelines and budgets.Take an agile approach to ensuring that projects meet changing business requirements, steer project and enterprise risk management.Champion / embed new methods on projects and enterprise business processes in a way that keeps pace with the changing market and industry while balancing requirements of the organisation to produce effective strategies and solutions.Learning agility:The demonstrated ability to:Adapt quickly and effectively to new requirements and situations in both the internal and external environments, showing initiative to take action to remain abreast of new trends and developments (especially in technology).Learn from past experience and apply learning and accumulated experience to perform future tasks successfully.Stakeholder engagement and communication:The demonstrated ability to:Build, maintain and utilise networks and relationships within the organisation and across external stakeholders (i.e. industry, government, other regulatory bodies).Effectively communicate with stakeholders to enable / achieve effective regulatory outcomes and to produce effective strategies and solutions.Technology strategy, solutions and advice:The demonstrated ability to adopt a client focused consulting approach with the business, partnering with stakeholders to develop technology led strategies and solutions aligned to current and emerging needs, and to provide strategic advisory services that enable regulatory responses.Our Values: Accountability.
