We are seeking an experienced Business Unit Lead (Projects) with expertise in Building Management Systems (BMS) to join the team in Sydney.
Position Overview: As a Business Unit Lead, you will lead and oversee complex projects focused on Building Management Systems, working closely with stakeholders and managing large, multi-disciplinary teams. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects from inception through completion, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and direct the planning, execution, and delivery of BMS projects, ensuring all projects meet performance, schedule, and budget goals. Manage and coordinate large teams of engineers, technicians, contractors, and support staff to ensure efficient project delivery. Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of BMS, ensuring integration with other building systems. Develop project timelines, set performance metrics, and establish clear communication pathways between internal teams and external stakeholders. Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues as they arise to keep the project on track. Build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure collaboration and alignment with project goals. Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and quality standards. Provide leadership, mentoring, and professional development for team members. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on Building Management Systems. Proven track record in managing large-scale, complex projects and leading teams of 20+ people. Strong knowledge of BMS systems, building automation, and energy management. Excellent leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
