Projects include jetties, wharves, bulk loading facilities, dredging, reclamation, navigation aids, marinas, underwater pipelines.We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a project team of experienced project and site engineers. You will be well supported by Senior Management and in-house specialists including naval architects, construction managers, and site supervisors.Family first cultureWork in pristine locationsA competitive base salary to match level of experienceExcellent uplift incentives for away workKey Responsibilities:Motivate, lead and direct your project team including Project and Site Engineers, Project Supervisors and crew during planning and construction phasesProvide "first point of contact" with client and coordinate client project requirementsAnalysis of project information (contract documents/ drawings/ specifications/ statutory approvals/ etc.) to allow preparation of programs, work break down structures, estimates and budgetsRisk management: a focus on safety and commercial (contract management)Resource management: initiation, planning, scheduling of all plant, labour, material and external resourcesSub-contractor engagement and management: of supporting consultants, contractors and suppliersProgram control: monitor project timeline, milestones and delivery schedulesFinancial control: effectively track, manage and forecast project budget and profit marginsProject reporting: prepare and present project startup, progress and close out reports for the client and executive management teamAbout You:Must have 5-8+ years' experience in project management and/or site engineering roles with a civil contractorMust have worked for a self-performing contractorHeavy civil experience essential (marine experienced highly regarded)Experience managing construction contracts and commercial mattersHighly desirable - degree qualified engineer (civil, structural, or mechanical)Must have previous Australian project management experience on heavy civil construction projectsExcellent organisational, planning and project management skillsExcellent contract understanding, negotiation and management skillsAbility to lead and motivate team membersAbility to prepare technical construction execution management plansAble to establish close working relationships at all levels of the business as well as with client and key stakeholdersIf you believe you have what it takes to join our team, don't delay.
